Meet the Teacher

I'm Mrs. Truelove. I graduated in December 2009 and have an Elementary Education degree and a minor in Reading. My husband and I were married in June 2010 and bought our first home in the Spring of 2011. In my free time, I like to blog, surf the internet for new and improved teaching ideas, watch old movies and TV shows, or listen to music--- I'm a sucker for the oldies! I also teach a low-impact pilates/yoga fitness class after work three days a week for a group of us that are ready to make positive changes in our lives.

Now for the Q & A…
Q: What would you be doing if you weren’t a teacher?

A:  Planning--- planning parties, dinners, events, lesson plans, etc.
Q: When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I’ve always wanted to be a teacher.  I remember helping my teachers put up bulletin boards, correcting papers, helping students, etc. I used to play school all the time! I remember my second grade teacher, Mrs. Slaven, telling me that I would be a great teacher because I was a pack rat! haha

A: Sweet Tea, chocolate and Army Wives.
Q: What is your biggest fear?!
A: Not having my own children...
Q: When you’re on vacation, where do you like to go?
A: I like to do a few "tourist" things, but I also like to find the more less known things...
Q: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
A:  You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
Q: What do you value most in others?
A:  Respect. Plain and simple.
Q: If you could choose one of your personality traits to pass down to your kids, what would it be?
A: My knowledge of right from wrong.
Q: If you could have lunch with anyone in the world….living or dead…who would it be?
A: My grandpa. He died when I was 12 and I would love to talk to him one more time, now that I'm an adult.
Now tell us one random thing about yourself:
I danced for 15 years as a kid. I was never excellent, but I loved it and worked on it all the time. I started at age 3 with ballet/jazz. I slowly added tap, ballet and lyrical. I ended at age 18 after doing getting brave enough to perform a solo dance.
